well I decided to go up to 4 peaks today and I got a hell of a surprise! To make a long story short I was driving up a 1 lane wide dirt road and I was approaching a sharp left turn. Before the turn I slowed down to about 5mph so i could see if anyone was coming around it. Then I saw a atv hauling ***** and pitching it sideways come through some trees so I stopped so. Well he was going to fast and he was too sideways yo stop so he hit the front of my truck with the left side of his quad. Just before he hit me his quad flipped up and pinned him between my front bumper and his bike! My buddy and i got out of the truck to get the bike off him and make sure he was OK. Thats when he started accusing me of being in the way and that I caused the accident!!!!!!

 

How bad was the damage to the truck and quad? After being that much of an idiot, I hope you left his *** out there for the coyotes (well, not really, but.....).

 

what a ****! im assuming it was a 2 way trail. and you were watching out for people. and he was being a dumb *** not caring about anyones safety. i for real would of taken the key outta his fourwheeler and left him in the woods to deal w/ it. and maybe taken a few bucks out for repairing anything he damaged.

Well I got a quote from a body shop today and they quoted $2000.00...... And yes I was Looking out for everything on the trial and he was being the idiot that wasnt paying attention to anything. I mean it was a little trial that you had to look before you drove anywhere!!!! Oh well I called him back today and he said that he would like 2 more estimates..... I think he is going to make things difficult! Oh well **** happens right?

 

yeah hes asking for two more qoutes soo he has time to change his phone number lol nah jk but yeah seems like hes going to make it harder than it should be

 

figure out his name, where he lives, and hold his quad as collaterial until he fixes your truck.

 

Get an estimate from Select Auto Body (7th Ave just south of Camelback on the east side of the street). That's where I went for a high estimate when someone hit my van last year. They actually do REALLY good work if you have them do it.

 

sucks to hear that. But if he makes a stink about you being in his way, you have a witness and he doesn't, so I think you should ba alright. And when you get estimates for parts, make sure the auto body shop is using Genuine Ford, not just OEM.

 

Checkout Raintree Auto up in the Scottsdale Airpark area for a high estimate too.

Hell, if you tell the guy that your getting an estimate to make the other guy pay, he'll add on every tiny detail that he can think of.

I had a drunken Cal fan punch my tailgate in the upper passangers corner and left a pretty nice dent after we kicked their *** in football last year. He got arrested and had to pay for the damage. Raintree made the dude by new emblems for my tailgate. it was awesome
