Be safe when offroading...ProComp tow straps

Get yourself a quality tow strap! I have had a 3" wide Pro Comp two strap for years now and it has never let me down. I have used it to get my truck pulled out along with pulling out motor homes with 2 huge diesel one tons.

Be safe when you go offroading and be prepared with a quality tow strap.

alon, do yall have any recovery straps? the ones designed for snatching as opposed to standard tow straps that most people use...the recovery straps have alot more recoil too them and hold up to insane amounts of abuse when trying to ****** someone out of a hole

Ya, these are recovery straps. Do you have a link to what you are talking about?

A tow strap is like a 5k or 10klb little thing from walmart. These are the real deal and they do stretch and "spring" back to help the recovery Tow is for pulling a dead car or something light out of the way of traffic, recovery is for stuck vehicles.

The guy is advertising. The least he could do is offer a discount that nobody else can match because we all shop for deals here. That said, I do have a procomp strap 3x30' and it's the only strap that has yet to let me down. But I've made some custom mods to it to make sure the loop ends will NEVER fail.

That price is already lower than what I saw in 4wp magazine. It is pointless for me to mark something up only to give a "discount". If there is an issue or a time where an even lower price will guarantee a purchase... feel free to email me and I can see what I can do.

If you're talking about one used to tie down cargo the main problem with them is they usually only have a load strength of around 2,000lbs. To safely recover a stuck vehicle I would say around 30,000lb is a good starting point. A ratchet strap would probably fail and send pieces of the ratchet flying around causing damage to pretty much anything nearby.

Play it safe and get a strap made for recovering stuck vehicles, it'll be worth its' weight in gold after a few stucks. Remember to keep it properly maintained and in good condition. They will last a good while if kept properly maintained and not just thrown around and dirty.

The straps at the top of the page are good starting points and would be enough for most occasions. I have a 70,000lb strap that I use because I have broken 30,000lb straps before so I went higher and I know it can take pretty much anything I can throw at it.

Be sure to have solid recovery points on your vehicle as well as the stuck vehicle that can stand up to the forces generated.

So yea spend the $$, have fun, and be safe.

Yea lets make sure you put some 1/2" steel in between you and the strap, maybe then you'll be safe. Now the truck is another story
