Pulled out a Chevy...Again

Got a call from the same friend as last time and as usual he needed me to pull his *** out. LOL He was going to pull himself out but didn't have his strap to hook up to the tractor. So I got the call and headed his way.

He said he was down by the creek when the *** end went side ways and he ended up almost in the creek, which would have sucked.

I almost going stuck trying to go down the hill. I was in reverse trying to get in a good spot to pull him out when I started getting sideways and almost ended up in the woods.

I know this wasn't the most exciting thread ever but when you pull out a Chevy you have to talk about it.

The Tahoe was in 4WD, but from previous four wheeling experiences with him all the wheels will hardly turn in situations like that but what can you expect from a truck without a locker.

Those pics don't do justice to how slick it was in that area, and how thick the mud really was.

If you look at the left side of the field in this pic you can see my ruts. I was trying to back down it and went real slow but it was so damn slick my front end started sliding towards the edge of the field. So once I got straightened up I went to the right side to pull him out, where it was a little flatter atleast side to side.

Yea that field was real nice, actually there were three fields. One on either end of the stand and another directly infront of it. It is a powerline. It seemed to me on two of the fields the shot were a little bit longer than most would like but overall it was damn nice.

Chevrolet declined help

Went offroading today and I found a stuck Chevy Z71. I pulled up as he was all alone. I asked him if he would like me to pull him out. He declined and said he had a friend coming to pull him out. I told him that I was here and would do it NOW. He again declined. My friend and I figured he didn't want to be pulled out by my stock 2004 F-150 FX4. I wouldn't be so proud to decline a little help from another American made truck.
