When you are doing this to public land it is my busness. All I am saying is if people keep doing this to public land it will be shut down to the public to use. It is already happening in different places. People have to take resonabilty of there actions. I'm not trying to get after anyone here. If you are on somebodys land and you have there OK then go for it. If you are on public land and there are places set aside to do this stuff, go for it. But if you are on public land and doing this to the roads off the roads then it becomes mine and everybody else's buseness that pays taxs.

You see if this were some ones land they could defend it if they want thats their choice. Obviously if this was someones land they don't care or haven't seen it yet. If they don't like it they can do what they want about it thats their freedom. When tight asses start closing roads because of people tearing up the roads then IMO thats taking away our freedom. When I hear about what my dad used to be able to do in town like ride his mini bike threw the yards or shoot a BB gun in the backyard it makes me sick when I look at all the rules today and the things you cant do. IMHO i think this country is goin way downhill from here and it makes me sick, but thats a whole other story.

Sorry had to unload there. Sounds like a lot of fun by the way .

TGargs10 It is the U.S. goverment who is closing the public roads. I had to close my pivate road becouse I don't the 4-6 thousand dollars a year to pay a private contractor to maintain. I have a archery range and a rifle range on my land that is open to the public to use if it is not muddy. And they are both used a lot. The people around here know not to use my land if it is muddy. Would you like me to come on your front lawn and dig big ruts in it?

Give me a freaking break. YOU jumped to conclusions and started freaking out at the guy when you had no freaking clue what the story was. For all you know it was on his own property. Honestly, we don't need captain obvious/captain cranky pants to come in the thread and starting crying all over the place.

If you want to complain about people off-roading go start your own thread and stop ruining others by taking it OFF TOPIC.

Thanks guys, well some of you.

It was in a neighbor hood and I know the son of the guy that owns the land, and one of the other guys also knows this man. I personally doubt anyone would give two ****s about this but I guess I am mistaken.

No I understand its the government that closes roads thats my point. And you have the right to defend your property the way you want. No I would not like it if you came and did donuts on my lawn but you have the ability to do it if you wanted thats freedom for ya.

Sorry LovetheTide I'm done now.

TGargs10 I would not go and dig holes on your lawn. Why, becouse I have the respect of other people property. Also it would be traespassing on your land. This is my point.

It costs the tax payers of this country 10's of millons of dollars each year to repaid these roads every year. The Forest Service is now shuting down these roads. The private land owner has the right to defend his property form harm or damage. He has the right to protect his land even if he has to use a gun to do it.
i actually completely agree with you. Our ranch in Shasta is surrounded by forest service land, and more and more of the logging roads are being closed every year because idiots are tearing them up with their trucks and ATVs. People have even come onto our ranch property with their ATVs and rutted out some of our roads, which pisses us off so much. We put up signs that says "private gun range: Keep Out" and that has kept them away.

If you have permission to do it on private property, great have some fun. If its public or you dont know the people, stay the ******* off the land.

Ok regardless of where he did this, that's not the point. Just think he did this on his own private land and let it go. This Off Road forum, not a legal debate, or a place to hand out blame on everyone posting. This is just like the I Wish... thread in here.

mSaLL150---It has gotten so bad on the Manti N.F. you only go 100 feet off of any road. The F.S. cathes you more than 100 ft. off. It will be a big fine. One bunch of elk hunters that they kept on giving tickits too they had to get tough with them the F.S. ended up impounding 2 trucks and 4 atvs. They went to federal court and ended up paying a $10,000.00 fine and lost the 2 trucks and the 4 atvs. Most of the people are OK and watch what they are doing. It's only 10% of the people who are making it bad for the outher 90% of the people. Most people will look for the private land owners and get permation to go on there land.
