Tips for cleaning out the mud?

So, I've been through some pretty good mud lately, and theres that sticky clingy mud stuck in every nook and cranny under my truck.

Do you have any tips?

So far, I've just done a combination of climbing under and trying to pull out the big clods, and then crawl under with a hose and try to spray it out of all the nooks and crannys, but there are so many haha

Any tips?

stick your yard sprinkler under there. Change the location under the truck in about 30 mins and repeat as needed.

I usually go to the car wash and get all that I can with the pressure washer then go home and crawl up under it with a garden hose and some sort of nozzle to get the rest of the mud. I'm very OCD about mud up under the truck and rust so I get it extremely clean after I mud.

Best thing would be to get some water pressure to it. Doesn't matter if it is at a car wash, pressure washer at home, or a small hole on the nozzle of a garden hose.

To avoid the mess next time, in some hard to clean areas, spray some pam(or any cooking oil) under the truck, and it falls off with ease.

I recommend the car wash, unless your yard needs some topsoil
then after the car wash, get under there with the hose, and take your time with every nook and cranny.
That sprinkler thing was a good idea just go borrow the neigbor's one night
And after its all clean, then the non stick stuff is also a good idea. i just use the tire spray(no touch) silicone spray to keep the frame lookin black, and undercarrige lookin sweet. also helps keep off the muck!

Yep, I under up crawling under there and spent a good 45 minutes to an hour just clawing at the dirt with my hand, and loosening it up with a garden hose, with a really small opening

Got it nice and clean, still some stuck up in the little nooks and whatnot in back, near the bumper, but its clean enough

Got damn near all of it off, even crawling underneath you can barely see anything anywhere.

I customized ramps that are about a foot high and i drive up that forward and reverse and use a pressure washer to blow alll that i can off. sometimes add some soap to the water and spray it on. then seriously i try to go find a river or a river run off and i go threw it at a rate that would splace up in the rear bumper front bumper all the hard to get to areas. then go home and spray again then wash the truck and it all good.

In some areas people who own car washes are installing camreas to take a pitchers of you plates and if leave a bunch of mud in the stall you will get a bill for $50.00 and the courts are upholding these fines. It soon will be that way across the nation.

hahaha I doubt it will ever be that way across the nation. Realize how much open land there is out there. Back when i lived in iowa our trucks were covered in *****, mud, corn, and just about anything else you can drive over/through.

They just design car washes with drains that dont clog. Grates help.

I think its more of an urban thing. Here in nor cal we dont even have too many self serve pressure wash places any more.

2 within 20 miles of me.....

Just get a small pressure washer.

What I do for my dh race bike and used to do on my truck, is spray all those insanely hard to clean places with pam cooking spray. Yea its not the cheapest but hey... how much is your time worth. 2 hours is worth the 3 buk a can price. Mud wont stick what so ever to it... unless you are playing in it all day... then just bring 2 cans.

The best thing I have found if you can buy or borrow one is a steam cleaner!!! The mud comes off fast and it gets all thoes tight spaces
