Nice, you live up around silver lake? I kinda figured that powerstroke would be too heavy for the sand and would end up stuck.

 

I live in monroe on the other side of the state in the corner about 20 minutes from ohio line. We go to silver lake quite a bit in the summer. The superduty did pretty good considering its weight but the tires on it are also 18 inches wide and when aired down alittle wider helps it float on the sand. It also makes about 500 horse and 700 lbs of torque it moves pretty good. When they do get stuck they dont come out easy.

 

Yeah I live in Almont about 40 to 50 miles north of detroit on M 53. never been to silver lake, but there is an off road area I have been to in Genesse County called the mounds. Haven't been there in a year though because I can't afford to fix my truck after I swamp it anymore. I am thinking about buying a new Jeep Wrangler in a couple years to replace my truck, just so I can off road a little more.

 

Do you know a guy named Kyle? (Is tha thim in the SD?) I know he lives in LaSalle Twp... I'm at the south edge of Newport myself. Didn't make it out to the dunes this year, but we're heading up to Kalkaska to do some ORV trail running with our trucks later this month.

Do not know anyone named kyle. He had just bought the truck about 1 month before we went. He lives in erie so it may be the same truck just new owner. The thing sure does scream and dump alot of black smoke out the pipe would love to know what the prior owner did to it to make it run that good.
