I'll see if my Sean wants to take his Ranger this time, maybe both and he can wheel.

Are you guys all camping at the same site? Mud sounds like he is going elsewhere.

I really would rather not camp on R/C's site, as it is pretty much the nastiest campground I have ever seen, but if it's where the group is camping, then I'm in. (I try to be a team player...)

Good call. I hope to see ya there, but I don't want to see your truck on R/C's trails. Carnage would be certain.

Well I'm waiting to see if Sean wants to go up. I would prefer a nice camp ground over a bad one, even if it is a little ways up the road. But since I'm not a definite yet you guys make your plans and I'll meet where ever.

I'm thinking maybe we'll both drive up and he can take his truck out, and we'll have mine to tow it broken back to Maryland.

How rough in comparison is the place?

And by that, he means he wants to stay at the Hilton Campground.

Trails: A little bit more challenging than the stuff we did at PAP last year.

Campsite: BEASTLY.

I will restate my recommendation that we camp off site. I'll post with 2 options shortly.

OK, I have one campsite for sure, which is pretty decent. It's called Campawhile. We stayed there early this year, and it was good. The facilities were nice, and the owners (who live on site) were very friendly. The only thing I didn't like as much was the lack of large group sites, or adjoining sites. I will call them to see if they can accomodate us.

There was another place I wanted to try called Echo Valley, but I had a friend who lives up there scout it out, and he couldn't find it. I'll try to get a hold of them, and have my friend try again.

Its tempting to try and go, but the doubler won't be here before then, and I'll most likely be on the road anyhow. Maybe later this winter if theres one I'll tag along.

The old campsites (haven't seen the new ones yet) sucked if you weren't prepared for them. But its a hell of a blast when everyone circles their rigs at the end of the night and have a good fire going. I'd pitch my tent on my trailer even if I was at a good campsite, its just too easy that way. If you had to pitch it on the ground there it would definetly suck though.

OK, I got my friend to scout out Echo Valley Campground, and it's the spot for us. They have plenty of room, and nice facilities. It's only a few miles from RC, so the commute will be short. They have cabins for anyone who wants 4 walls, and they have adjoining campsites for the rest who will be tenting.

So let's get a good count for the reservations. Sound off if you are going to camp, and how many you will have with you.

Also, if anyone prefers hotel/motel, let me know, and I can dig up some info on that too.
