Crazy Night

Anyways me and my friend go off roading today. We went on top of Saddleback Mountain for those of you who are familiar with the Orange County region. Anyways its a very long trail and by the time we get to the top of the mountain its already dark and the moons out so we're completely screwed. So we start heading down and take a wrong turn and go out of our way. We were scared ****less it was pitch black going down a mountain side. Anyways we ended up getting off the mountain at the Corona Lakes if anyone knows where those are. Right off the 15 freeway. It was a freaking insane night. Only damage done were a couple long scratches on my truck because the trail was so narrow that the trees rubbed against my truck. But for all you off roaders....bring something or remember the right way to get back down a mountain. We spent a total of about 3 hours on the mountain getting up and down. And 1 hour getting back home.

similar thing happened to me except i went alone cause i was completely bored and all my friends were at work. so i went to the middle of bum-**** egypt in NJ. its down the rpad from my house well maybe 25 minutes down the road. so i found a trail decided to just go check it out. it ended up having a massive ditch that was 4 feet deep in it. i got through the ditch but there was no way of turning around so i had to reverse it. so i put it in 4 low and just floored it . it sounded nasty nmy truck slammed against the rock. i tried to wiggle my way out go forward a bit then back wards but i wedged myself in there and the front grille justy kept slamming against dirt. eventually i got outta there after i got out and started freaking out and praying.. it was getting dark you kbnow texas chainsaw massaccers started runnning through my head **** like that. eventually i dunno how i just ripped the wheel to the left and floord it in reverse and tally ho i made it. my truck sounded funny at first but alls good just needed some air in the tires.

On the way up the mountain I saw two guys on dirtbikes heading down. So I would assume so if you're not going crazy and romping through there. But don't take my word for that.

Are you talking about Lake Silverwood?

If so take 15 N to 138. There is a staging area very close to the freeway.

There are also a few around Lake Silverwood and Big Bear. Give me your Email and I will send a PDF map.
