This would be fun.....

I saw this truck for sale in my 'hood the other day. I did not have a chance to look closely at it. I wonder what the motor is like? Anyway, it would be a blast to get this in the mud bog in Lawtey on sunday......

straight axle swap, leaf sprung, not too expensive to do on that year truck. Find out what they want for it, it would definitely be a fun rig to have I agree with you there.

No harder or expensive to do a SAS on a 97-03 than it is on a 04-07, they're both a pita to set up a GOOD suspension. Same overall IFS design between the generations. The 81-96 F150s were actually one of the easiest and cheapest of all the F150s to do an SAS on. Though from the looks of this one it appears to have possibly started life as a 2wd, which is significantly easier than a 4x4 due to not having that bohemouth lower crossmember.

Its a little hard to see from the pic, but the drag link looks a little scary. Not really sure why they decided to put that radius on it towards the lower end. All that did was give a failure point. IMO, losing about 10" of lift and going with a cut out flare (though they didn't make them last I checked), would make that a very good truck. Lower center of gravity so rolling if you catch a rut or get off cambur is less, makes it a go anywhere rig.

Yeah, I was in Jax over the weekend. In the process of getting my wife and kid over to the panhandle with me. When I left on Sunday, it wasn't there. I never got a chance to look closely at it. My house that I'm trying to sell is in that area of town. Anyone in Jax looking for a house to buy?

Where at in NorCal do you live? I too live in NorCal and agree that house would go for a lot more than a quarter mil. I wish there was a way to fly a house in Florida to a Cali property...good way to make some extra money =]

It all depends on what part of town you are in. My house is on the west side of Jacksonville, about 13 miles from downtown. The exact same house, in the south side, would be around $100-$150k more
Well, my wife and I just got back from Ireland, and as we were sitting on the tarmac leaving Jax, we got a call from our realtor, telling us that someone made an offer on our house. In this poor market, we think we have it sold.
