BFG All terrains

Has anyone had any issues with their BFgoodrich All-terrain tires on their trucks?
I have my second set of BFG at's one set 33x12.5x15 and the other 35x12.5x15 and both sets have had issues with broken belts in the tires when there is still good tread life left.

BFG tires

BFG tires are the only tire I buy. I had one set on my worktruck go 96k miles. Tough, quiet, great traction & great mileage. My current set have 28k miles & still look great on 2006 4x4 Lariat.

I have heard many more positive reviews than negative regarding that tire for both on and off road performance. I can't personally speak to the AT's. However, to write off BFG as a company would be to ignore one of the best off road tires ever sold. The fact BFG Mud Terrain is so popular at the off road parks is proof of this. They perform excellent, they are bulletproof(ok, not literally), their price is fair, and they last. My only beef is that they won't wear out, and give me an excuse to buy a larger set!

Belts broke on my 33s, but that was WAY after they were worn out...Probably shouldn't have had them on there for the last 20,000 miles that I did, but they were great, better traction than almost anything else I had ever tried, and they were smooth and rode good...I can't speak for other people's experiences, but mine was great, and I'll definitely have another set!

i loved the way the tires gripped my 2wd was going places that other trucks couldn't. but it kinda torques me that they are still good tires and my truck isn't drivable with the 35's, the stupid bridgstone 31's look stupid as hell on there

I am on my second set of 285/70-17 BFG ATs. The first set I only got like 28k miles out of but I drove the thing like I stole it hard into turns and spinning the tires quite a bit from stops. However, we also had a set on our H2 that we got 60k miles out of. So I think that wear really comes down to how you drive. My first set had the lugs being peeled from the side becasue I went into turns so hard. Needless to say I'm a little easier on this set of tires.

I had several tred seperations and replacemants until finally one ripped have of my drivers side off at 80-MPH. They suck! Never got more than 35000 miles on a set. Good thing Discount kept changing them out. Michelin tire sadi that if someone would have got hurt it would have been a good pay out, but they fixxed my truck.

My F-150 had Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revos on it... and my F-250 has BFG A/T KO's on it... I think I liked my Revos better. Less noise, and the wear was MUCH better. Not sure what I'll do when the time comes for replacing them...

Before this thread, I had never heard a single negative thing about those tires

The ONLY thing I had heard was that it was important to do regular rotations for proper wear...which isn't a big deal, and should be done anyway.

I really liked the set I had on my 98 F-150. They lasted for over 60,000 miles.
No issues with tread or belts.

Till I got my Toyo A/T's on my new truck. I'll never have another set of BFG's unless it's on a dedicated trail truck and are M/T's

Not hitting you specifically, but I know a lot of guys that complain about "off-road" tires after overdriving them. I'm not sure what speed they are rated for, but sustained speeds over 80 is tough on most "off-road" tires. They are not designed to handle the forces exerted by those speeds.

I think BFGs Baja tire is speed rated.

I had some BFG Long Trails on my old 2000 had no problem out of them put 47k on them before I replaced them. Overall they were a good tire and had no problems out of them.

I replaced my BFG AT KO's with Revo's because I was tearing them up in the rocks, tread separation. Both sets were LT's and abused equally. So far no problems with the Revo's.
