Sand Ride

no pics..

had a question. i've got 35/12.5/18 cooper m/t's i live in south mississippi and this past weekend i went ridin on about the only natural beach on between texas and dauphin island and two of my buddies got stuck. the sand was so soft i had trouble pullin myself around and i couldn't pull them out. so had to call this 4 door yukon with 35/13.5/15 toyo mt's and he rolled around out there with ease and pulled my friends out.

i run 65 psi in those coopers cause my last set wore on the corners with like 45psi and the coopers are a load D? i think anyway..

do you think that extra inch width made that much of a difference or was it my air pressure?

I would say air pressure. 65psi thats enough to make the 35's sink like the titanic.

Yuppers... it's all about air pressure in the sand. Low pressure means more flotation.

As a rule of thumb, measure the sidewall height at road pressure, then air them down until you get to 75% of that measurement. Start there and add or remove air as necessary.
