This is the 2nd time ive been off road...

Well it started off with just me an my friend. He has a broncoII with a 6" lift ( i think) an some 35's on it. I followed him cuz he knew wich places not to go in, or we would both get stuck. So we get all the way to the end with no troubles at all. We turn back an "try" a different path. I made it to the last puddle an we werent to sure if id make it. He told me keep up my momentum an try an stay between the ruts. Well that lasted all but five seconds as soon as i picked up what little speed i had the rear fell in the rut an brought the front down with it. As i said, i had very little speed an little to no momentum. So, i get stuck for not knowing better lol. driver front wheel isnt touching, an im not budging.

So he decideds to run back to his house (10mins away) an get the tow straps. Hooks them to the front bars an cant budge it. Few more tries an nothing, so he decides to try the rear an pull me back the way i came. I have no hitch or anything so we used the safety hook for the trailor. Well couple tugs later the strap broke, but it wasnt a new one. So we both get out an i call my cousin (the white chevy) an he calls his friend (the red chevy). He leaves to go pick his friends truck up an my cousin said he was on his way. Fifty some odd minutes later an now ive been here stuck for about an hour an a half lol.

So my cousin shows up with two straps an hooks them up, he has no hitch or anything to hook up to his rear either so only his front he could hook up to. Five mins of tire spinning an nothing, still stuck. Shortly after that my friend comes back with the red chevy. Which does have 6" lift an 35's, flowmaster 40 series exhaust for those interested. He tries just pulling an doesnt budge much like maybe an inch tops. Couple more tires an nothing, so he decideds to jerk it a bit. About five attempts later an i move about three inches!! so i tell him to give it one more go since i did move that time an finally after just about two hours of bein stuck im free!!!! While they were gone i just would like to add there were about six different quad people who came by to laugh at me...

With the whole gettin stuck part set aside tho, we had a blast! My truck had no trouble at all up to that point, an was absolutly fine after that. Also i dont have the stock general tires XLT's come with, i swapped with a friend who was trading hers in an got the stockers off an Fx4, so im sure id of been worse off with my stockers lol.

So after we get done he calls his friend to let him know we got out, an he of course rubs in that thats the second time a chevy has pulled a ford out now.

This is broekn up so much for easier reading, an please no gramar police i know there are many errors or mis spelled words in there, but youll live!

Thats the story I was looking for, good read. You sorta have to let them dish it out until you can do the same to them, revenge will be ever-so-sweet. Those quads laugh because you're sitting in a truck worth about 5 of whats under them, and taking it in the mud they won't touch. I have been snickered at for the things I do (many times on here) but if it gets too bad you can always pop them in the nose a time or two or just come back and make it next time, with even more watching. Whatever floats your boat, I am usually being laughed at by Mexican's who don't speak a word of english where I go, but they are also eager to lend us tools or a hand if needed. First upgrade you should do is a lift, these f-150's do not have the ideal wheelbase to wheel with but you can overcome that with a lift, you already do more than most of the guys do with their 6" lifts so look into that. Then get a good set of tires with aggressive tread and a large void ratio...you're set. You don't have a ton of options because we can't get a smaller rim than 17" to fit on here, but you do have some to choose from. This is my main concern and I don't want to change my rotors so I can fit smaller rims but I do want to be one of the only new body style F-150's running a bogger...so I might have to trade-up...thanks Ford.

Love this truck and so much work has gone into her, it would be real hard to let'r go.

including powerwashing, the wash took about an hour, then another hour to wax an detail. not to bad, although mud still pours from underneath lol.

whats up zerokool? im goin again prolly late august if your interested!
an where abouts in bear? i use to live in bear....

josiah, by the beginning of next year i plan to have 6" lift (havnt decided on brand) with 18" rim an 35" tire. the hard part is figuring out what kinda tire would be good for an all year everyday driver but yet kickass offroad! lol
an about poping them in the nose....ill pass on that...thier arms were as big as me...lol although, the atv people were nice enough to give me a number to a towing place tho....

Thanks for the invite I'm interested but right now I've been spending all my spare time trying to finish body on my project car and hope to get it painted sometime soon afterwards. Also i dont know if the cops still go back there on horseback and on atv's but i know county police used to send them out there. My old manager from maaco used to get chased out when he would take his atv back there but its been a good five years since then. Do you ever make it to the canal if so do you ever get hassled when you go?

as i found out yesterday they still send them back there but only if there called. they tend not to mind trucks to much, but its more the ATV an larger groups of people. thats what i was told anyways.
we do goto the canal, ive only been there once tho. my friends i went with only have any trouble when they go off the "maintained" roads. as long as they stay on them theyve never had any trouble.
well, if your up to it, august 19th im lookin to go to either place, just not sure yet but we will be goin to one of them!
curious tho, whats your project car?

Looks awesome. Man the mud looks nasty!!!!!!! Fun though. I wouldnt worry about getting pulled out by that thing. We all get stuck, he'll get stuck, thats how it goes. Especially when you play like us. Like Josiah said man, some trucks never even drive dirt roads. I have a couple of buddies who already have the truck jacked and wont come out. Oh well. Good times!

Its a honda delsol that's been sitting in my driveway for 2 years and with gas prices being so high we decided to fix it and finish the project. Its my gf's first car so were just trying to get it to look decent again as for me, my real project is the truck. I had a Bagged S-10, then had an srt-4, and just like trying new things every couple years. Its good to hear the police have been pretty cool I may be more willing to go sometime.
