Went through a large mud hole pretty fast in my old 97 5.4/4x4 and it pasted the interior of the hood, engine, and sucked up enough mud into the K&N (factory intake) to significantly reduce power until I changed the filter out.

It is for that reason I've been looking for a better solution in case I have to ford deep water.

I have been in water up to the top of the grill with nothing more than a K&N FIPK and a filter wrap with no problems, here's a pic from my gallery:

That is deep water...I dont know if I'd have the nerve...hyrdolock scares the beegeezus out of me

I four wheel with my Accel Kool Blue air filter after all that's why they make recharge kits. lol

Snorkel?

Hey guys im pretty new to the forum and i was just wonderin has anyone tried a snorkel?...anyone made one or anything?
