my trip to Glamis (sand dunes) for new years

well in november i sold my two dirtbikes(yamaha wyz450, rm100) for two quads the new 06 Raptor 700 and a 05 Raptor 350 for the wife, i have had quads and dirtbikes since i was 14, well every year i go to Gordons well in the imperial sand dunes(just south of Glamis) it is always a huge party like 10,000 people all celabrating the new year at the dunes, all the major offroad and dirtbike magazines are out there, saw some nice $250,000 sand rails and alot of badass trucks and 4x4s i really didnt take to many pics i was too buzy riding or drinking, took the truck out to the dunes, nothing to amazing but it did great like it always does, it was a awsome time and i love the new Raptor 700 thing is a beast, well here are some pics of my doing a few wheelies and the sand drags, as soon as i got up to the sand drags with my camara there was an acedent so i didnt get any pics of the sand rails racing because they had to get the EMS in there, but you can see how many people were out there having fun, enjoy the pics

twstd, those are some badazz stucks. I wish I was there to witness it all. I'm assuming they pulled everything out fine, except for the chevy. Why were they stuck there in the first place, did the rain fall around the trailer and trap'em. Seems sorta deserving to me, but I'll keep my opinions to myself as I don't know the real story. Very neat, I have a few pics of me trying to pull out a stuck tow truck, pretty neat. It happened Christmas Day, I pulled over to help, he was in a ditch, never was able to because the CHP officer was incredibly rude. Anyways, I'd love to hear the stories about those stucks.

Bigtruck311, that too looks badazz, any good stories? What about the accident, anyone hurt bad? Looks like fun, I spent my time in Disneyland & Universal Studio's over New Years.

Some of those stuck's scream Ford Tough. Look at the amount of SuperDuty's pulling the guy, how many did it take and did it require much jerking or was it all just slow pulling. Very interesting new years to the both of you. Also, how did your Mud Grapp's perform in the sand?

the flags are manditory, you will get a ticket if you dont have a flag, the reason is at the dunes you cant see what is on the other side of the next dune, going like 30MPH you have no time to slow down if there is someone on the other side , so you have to have a flag so then you can see the other person sooner, make sence?

I've been to Pismo before.... where the heck were those things stuck at? Must've been near a drain crossing or something? The one Chevy looks like he got caught by high-tide, but what happened to the other one?

Boy those photos bring back the memories! I did the Glamis thing alot when I live in socal 13 Thanksgivings in a row this was when the old store was on the other side of the hiway. They sold beer out of the delivery trucks because they did'nt have time to unload it! Pismo was way fun back in the day also I once wheelied the whole lenght on a built ATC 90 as for the stuck people I feel sorry for them but looks like a case of bad judgement. People were always getting stuck when I went you had to cross at low tide and even it could get iffy.
