Skid Plate question

I have an 02 Supercab F150, 4x4 off road, but its not the FX4, and doesnt have skid plates. My question is will skid plates from an FX4 bold onto my truck, or is there somewhere I could get them.

As long as you get the skidplates and all brackets, etc. from a similar truck it should bolt right on....good luck...

I bought the factory skid plates from my dealer ($25 ish) and installed them myself. 10 minutes to install and i have a sturdy factory fit skid plates.

As far as fitment, you should have the needed holes for bolting on the skid plate, you are just missing the bolts and 'screw clips'. Order a skip plate for the same year as yours to reduce the chance of the skid plate not fitting.

Blow another $25 on the Xfer case guard (skid plate) too. You can use regular 5/16 nuts and bolts to attach. You REALLY want to protect that baby!!!!

Good luck.

There is no differences between the FX4 skidplates and the regular 4x4 skidplates. The front plate was the same for all 97-03 trucks. The transer case depends on what engine you have the 4.2 and 4.6 use the same while the 5.4 is different. The fuel tank depends on what size tank that you have the wheelbase is what dictates this.

The skid plates on our trucks are a joke. The ones on my '01 are. They're stamped steel. Light duty stuff. If you're serious about off roading, you need to get aftermarket or custom skid plates.
