model A/T fords and off-roading

It seems when they show model A or model T fords on some History channel show, they are going through mud calf high or streams.

They have tires that are about the size of a mountain bike and a 40bhp engine driving one wheel.

I'm always impressed at where those things would go through.

What they don't show is the carnage after they go through the mud. Actually Henry designed these vehicles with high ground clearance so they could travel the back roads .
