1990 F150 axle swap

I have a 90 F150 Lariet 5-speed with a 302 cammer and i hate my IFS i want to swap it with a 78 or 79 dana 44 solid. I need to know if i need any adaptors, longer break lines, shock mounts (it has duel shocks in the front), and i plan on putting a 6' suspention lift on it. when i swap the axle do i need to buy the lift for a 78-79 f150 or can i use the one for the 86-90 model?

Buy a lift for a 78/79 as the other will come with drop brackets that you won't need. For the most part its a bolt on swap. You will want to make sure you get the steering from the 78/79 axle so you can dump the crappy Y steering. You will need extended brake lines with the 6" lift, but otherwise if you went stock to stock the truck would sit pretty much the same height as it does now.
