What kind of mileage did anyone get on there front brakes. Mine are due at 26,500 miles. Also what special tools if any are needed to change them. This would be my first time on my truck for brakes and any info would be a great help....... Only 26,500 on a 97 I really need to get out more>>>>>.... Thanks.

Buckdropper- I think you have the wrong forum for your question, but ill try and answer it anyways. I changed my front brakes on my truck last month. The only tool that i needed was the bleeder wrench. You can probally open the bleeder valve w/o the bleeder wrench, but ive always done it with that wrench. If you have ABS remeber to open the bleeder valve when pushing in the piston. If you have any other questions just ask away.

Thanks barto 24. I figured out i was on the wrong forum but it was to late, it was my first time. Is there torx bolts that hold the caliper in place or standard Hex bolts??

Everything is hex bolts, I dont remeber exactly what size they are, or if they are standard or metric, but they are hex bolts. Good luck
