Canyonlands near Moab
Me and my buddies just got back from Canyonlands national park just south of Moab. There was some great wheeling for amature 4x4ers. I.E> Mostly stock systems with some midifications like bigger tires, more horse power, minimal lift. We did this great trail called Elephant Hill that was a blast. If you'd like more information or have been there, add a post.

Hey UrbanCowboy,
I too have flung some dirt in that area. Last year we spent some time in canyonlands, Islands and Needles districts. Went up salt creek/horse canyon. Running up that running creek full out was a blast.
This year for spring break I took my brand new f150 over to the maze district on the other side of the colorado river. We got a backcountry permit for three days and drove in on the Hite road and then all the way into the maze overlook. One of the most remote places I have ever been! I took a little paint off the frame in spots but the truck was totally stock with 3.55's and 255/70R16's. I was actually pretty happy with the goodyear Rt/s on that trip, and like you I spend some serious time in 4 low. Much of it was with 5 people in the truck and 600 lbs of gear in the bed. I couldn't be happier with the off road performance of the stock truck.
If you get a chance to get back there definately try the maze district, you won't be disappointed.
