I just got done with the minor modification it works well, I was a little upset when I got my f-150 and could not run the parking lights and fog lights together as I did in my little ol' 99 Ranger. I had a little problem getting the face plate to come off to access the inside but it all worked out well. I'm gonna tell everyone about this trick...

I was trying to get at the wiring harness on the switch, but the clip on the top right side of the switch refused to budge, so I ended up MANGLING the switch! What's the trick to getting that clip to pop loose? I've got a new switch on order, but I'm afraid to put it in wihtout doing the mod for fear of never being able to get it back out again! I couldn't even remove the trim ring around it because there's a screw behind the switch I couldn't get to without removing the switch first?!?! Help?! Also, after I tucked the guts of the switch back in, now my fogs don't work... did I destroy something on the switch, or did I miss something putting it back together? (I suppose it could be a fuse, but I haven't checked yet)

Red face

Did you remember to splice the white & the brown wire together? This allows the fogs to work. Also, check the fuses. As for the clip on the switch...ouch...mine came out with a little tricky effort. It took about 7 good tries to get it all the way out without destroying it. Sorry to hear that.
