If there is anyone out the in internet land that lives near the Outer Banks and want's to do some sand riding this weekend please post a reply. A couple of my buddies and I are taking our trucks to Corolla in the North end of Nags Head N.C. this sunday. Should be a good time, a little chilly but good wheeelin' and good food. Two wheel drives are welcome, but you must bring your own tow strap!!!!!
It has been fairly dry down there so we should get caught in some thick ****..........dont be scared
Hopefully I will get really stuck!!!!!!

My wife and I will be going back down soon. I will keep you in mind and let you know when I go. It would be nice to have someone there to pull me out when I get stuck.
Also, with all of the tourist gone, there should be more room to play. see ya.

Adam, you down near Va Beach? I figure you must be in that area if your only a hour away.
We like going out there in September because the rates on the beach houses are considerably cheaper. Unless you have a lot of people staying in the house for peak season, off season is the way to go and the water is still warm and businesses are still open in september. This year we are going out in July for sort of a family reunion thing. It will be the first time out there during the peak season. Tourist (terrorist) overkill.
BTW now that that Manteo bypass is open it shaved about 1/2 hour off my drive from Raleigh.
You would probably benefit from that intercoastal bridge they keep talking about up near Currituck.

Yeah you are right, the currituck bridge would make a huge difference. Traffic is the only thing that make the trip an hour. That bridge would make the trip about 30 minutes, that would be so nice........ I am near VA BCH, about 15 minutes, there aint anything good to do there. Well, not for having fun in a truck anyways. July is a busy time, still fun none the less though. In July the sand on oregon inlet is really loose cause it is so dry, just remember to air down, not that you will get stuck, but not to overwork the tranny with a lot of wheelspin at low speed. (burned one up even with aftermarket cooler). Gotta run.

I went to Suffolk this past weekend and rode up and down 10 to all of the Power Line roads I could find and didn't have any luck. I think I will try again this weekend, seeing as how I have some time to kill. Let me know if you ever go out and DO find it. Thanks.

Hey Randall,
I never found any of the trails in Suffolk. We did go to corolla in nags head this past weekend. It was really good, cold as hell, but a good time noe the less. If youhave to kill this weekend there is a bunch of people heading back down to corolla on sunday. Supposed to rain, but that makes the mud better, and the sand a little harder. Hopefully it will be 5 or 6 trucks. Jeeps included, should be a good time. If you are interested, the more the better, send me a reply and Ill let you know where and when we are meeting to take the 2 hour ride..........Later
