Question difference on LIFT BRANDS?

Aside from preference/popularity..

is there a big difference between say RANCHO, Sky Jacker, Fabtech..etc

are they all the same..or is quality and performance noticably different?

i have also heard that 4" in one kit is not the same as 4" in a different kit..

Most lifts are the same. They all are a little different in geometry and quality, but essentially, they all change the exact same things. It is true that a 4" lift in one part is different than a 4" lift in another brand. But it's only a minute difference. For example:

Rancho's 4" lift will lift the truck almost exactly 4". But some only lift 3.75" and some lift 4.25". However, for simplicity sake, you should just assume that 4" lift is a 4" lift. Quality and warranties on parts is the biggest issue when considering a lift.

Rancho, RCD, Fabtech are very popular brands for quality.

Skyjacker & Whiplash are not so popular.
