Winch Mount

Is that a Warn hidden winch mount? If so, how difficult was the installation and were any modifications required? Thanks in advance.

Cool

Nope, Welll..... sorta.... I just took a peice of 7" 1/4" thick C-channel and notched it for my frame, and drilled the holes for the winch and tow hook mounts, cost 30 $ and 2 hrs, plus it is stronger. For mods, you can either cut the plastic air-dam around the fairlead, or just remove it, and make somw warn frame covers. Oh, i am a welder, so this stuff is easy for me. I actually think the warn hidden mount has the same measuments as my mount, so really it is the same, just 200$ cheaper.

I have 5" in the bottom pics, but none in the top ones. I have a 3" body, 1.5-2" torsion "tweak" and 2" add-a-leafs out back. only running 33" mt's in these pics, but I have 16x9 true bead-locks, and 13/36/16 swamper tsl's on the way for spring. I run a detroit out back, 4:10 gears, warn 8000, rancho shocks, all custom 3/16" skid plates (front diff, gas tank, transfer case, tranny) and if you look in my photo album (search Ignerence) you can see the rear bumper I made for it a few weeks ago. I drive it 200+ km's a day also, and run 265/75/16 at's on the stock rims for street use. It seems to get the job done so far.......

Back to the wheelin' pics. Here's some I took this past weekend in the dunes out near Glamis, CA. Brand new 04 F-150 completely stock. it ran real nice without even airing down the meats. more pics in my gallery (of a high centered Chevy too!)

Thumbs up

Thats cool. I think that taking out new trucks (2004!!!!) is awsome. Did you bury it at all? any more pics? I think it needs a few dents and "pin stripping" though to add character. hehehe good pics.

there are more pics in my gallery but those are the only ones i took. i can do without the dents for a long while. i did not bury it at all. i didn't run it as hard as my buddy's Chevy though. it was fun to drop into bowls with the 04. it climbed everything real easy, and that was without airing down the tires. all completely stock. i love the 04.

I love your bumper Ignerence. My friend as a new welder and as soon as I find a welding supply store I'm going to have to try and make one myself.

Here's a couple of the Screw thru snow. I was first one up to the landing on this day and while there appears to be only a foot of snow, that's just fresh from the night before. There's about 3 feet total on the ground.
By the way, never needed to chain up
