Recovery strap size?
I would certainly go with 3", I run a towing company and I use 3" straps for everything from straping down equipment on the flat deck to pulling 3-5ton trucks back onto their wheels, bigger is always better when it comes to towing!
If you really don't want to worry about it check this one out.

Otherwise the 3" 30K straps will work just fine.

I have the exact same "tow" strap what ever you want to call it and it has towed a 5,000-6,000 pound truck up a 6% grade (after it broke down) and the stetching gives a bit of play so that the guy behind can brake a little and not cause (like a chain would) the towing truck to be tuged on really hard.
2" is too small for offroading, 4" is too hard to work with unless you need it. You can hook this ropes ends though the pin on a class 3 hitch and your set.

Keeper Tow Strap's rock!!!
If your running a full size I really wouldn't get anything less than a 3"x30' ProComp make a nice strap too!!! It has leather wrapped end loops to prevent damaging the strap during pulls and to increase the wear resistance...
