Driver side grab-handle

I noticed the Driver side grab-handle is now on the newer F150s. Is this just a add-on that I can install on my '99?

I need this to be a fully functional handle. I'm a disabled vet and having this handle will be very useful to me.

thanks

Yes! We installed a driver side grab-handle on our 99 F-150. Try doing a search on grab-handle. Before ordering your grab handle & driverside door pillar trim & (2) plugs to cover the screw holes in the handle; be sure you know what your interior color is.

For example: graphite, dark graphite or medium parchment. If you can find the article by search here, it gives very explicit details on installiation of the handle.

I remember drilling (2) holes in the door pillar and borrowing a friends nut rivit tool & installing (2) 10/32 nut rivits. I think I obtained (2) grade 8 allen head bolts from the local hardware.

One important thing I remember--once your handle is install--remove the screws & threadlocker the screws.

if you are a disabled Veteran, talk to your dealer. You may be able to get the government to pick up the cost of the upgrade. After all, if your doctor says you need it and cant live without it ... (wink wink)
