If you've got the 8.8 I would go with Powertrax, around $375-$400. Or Eaton at about the same price.

For L/S, I prefer Auburn Pro Series or Eaton-Posi. Both are good units. When our factory trac-loc fails--I will probably install an Eaton-Posi in our 1999 F-150.

I have an Auburn Pro in my 1979 F-150. Have a Eaton-posi in my 1994 Ranger (recently installed myself).

I had the Auburn Pro Series in my 97 4.6 2wd with 3.55 gears and I was amazed the difference. The technician that installed it said I would get about an 80% improvement over the stock LS, I was very happy with it.
