Post 1998 lariat options

I recently purchased a 1998 lariat super cab from a widow woman whose late husband bought new, she does not have the sticker so I'm not sure what options are included on the truck, particularly the limited slip differential, is there any way to find out what options were on this truck?

Do the check here at http://www.edmunds.com/ It will tell what was optional or not on that year. Then we will need your VIN and maybe some numbers from the Drivers side door to help you fill in the blanks. you will just have to look for and notice things like keyless entry, auto lamps and trim stuff.

Thanks Raoul & Phillip, But I was wondering most about the limited slip, I guess I could take it out to the Red Georgia Clay and find out by experience, Are you sayin that the VIN will tell me whether there is limited slip? I can see most of the other options, but dont think I can recognize limited slip just by lookin, by the way it is 2WD...

Its on the code on the door. Axle Codes that I know of are: "H9" = 3.55 Limited Slip and "19" = 3.55 non-limited slip. If you do not have 3.55 this would not be right. But you probably do have the 3.55 as it was standard on the Lariat then both 4X4 and 2X4.

Don't forget that you can do a simple check for limited slip on a stationary vehicle. Get both rear wheels off the ground (of course, be on a level surface with the front wheels securely chocked, and the parking brake off). Turn one of the rear wheels and look at the other. If the other turns in the same direction, it's L/S. If not at all or opposite, its a non-posi diff.

Cool

Thanks Phillip & John, I checked the door, it had a "1P" by the axel codes, guess that means no to limited slip...You'll probably see me here in the future as I begin to customize, I gotta lot more questions that money right now...
