gear change.

ok, i'm going to get Goodyear Wrangler MT/R : 315/75-16
(or 34.8x12.3x16) and new Hellcats. (i am getting 3" body lift)

I want to change my gears also. to atleast back to stock gearing.

stock was : 265/70-17 w/3.55 gears

would 4.10 bring me back to the stock gearing?

ALSO
would a step up be a noticable help? I trail ride it alot.
4.56?

thanks

4X4

I do believe that you will also have to change your front gears as well. It all depends on how much highway driving you do. going from 4.10 to 4.56 is not that big of a jump but it is if you are going from 3.55 to 4.56. basically you are adding a full turn of your drive shaft which will increase your RPM's by about 1,000 RPM's at any speed.

Gear changes on 4X4s are in fact $X2.

Can't have a 4.10 rear with a 3.55 front.

why would someone leave one the same???

my question is:

if i HAD 265/70-17 with 3.55's
and now i have 315/75-16 what gear do i need to get to run
the same "FINAL" gearing as before? ? 4.10, or 4.56 ?
