Shudder and vibration from truck

I am getting a vibration from my truck while im driving, usually it happens when I'm on the highway at around 100km/hr or when i am accelerating at speeds of around 80km/hr and up. It feels like my wholetruck is shaking for short periods of time. It doesn't do it nuetral that i can tell, when i put it in neutral while driving it rolls smooth. It also does not seem to be related to braking or cornering. I just put new 33" mud tires on which was my first guess at the problem but they were running great before this with no shutter at all. Also it was shuddering tonight on the highway and the check angine light came on for a couple seconds then shut off. It seems to be happening more often now too. If anyone has any suggestion I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,

and i have a 2002 XLT 4x4 supercab.

Garden-variety misfire.

Have your codes scanned to see which cylinder(s) is responsible. Usually a COP and its plug. Sometimes an injector or more, but those are rare.

It also helps if you identify which engine and transmission you have. If you put it in your signature, it's always available.

Same issue with 2006 Crew

Searched forums and found this thread, I seem to be having the same issue with my 06 crew.

I have the 5.4L. My vin is 1FTPW14526FB69936 if that helps anyone.

At 80KM/hr it starts to vibrate and then around 100KM/hr it goes away. I also notice it at idle when stopped in drive.

I had original tires replace in November and new ones were balanced, both old and new did not make a difference in the vibration.

I've got 72000Km on it.

Thanks

I was going to suggest you check the tires in case a weight came off, or to check the driveshaft to see if it is unbalanced but you say it vibes while idling in drive when you are stopped. I'd get the codes scanned, Partsource should be able to do it for free.
