Try Redline 80 or 70W-140 it already has the friction modifiers that Ford calls for. Your truck calls for synthetic in 70W-140. If you don't want to use Redline gear lube then you will have to get the friction modifier from Ford.
Now, if your rear axle is 8.8-9.75" then you will use 4 oz. of modifier or if it is 10.25" then use 8 oz. It should take approx. 5.7 pints, but fill it to the bottom of the fill plug hole.
Almost forgot, the gasket is really cheap around $6. Might as well change it while you are at it. The procedure from start to finish might take you about an hour and the work is very easy. Just look at your old lube for any pieces of metal and inspect your gears for any signs of obvious damage that may need to be repaired.

Most of Ford's diffs these days do not use a gasket: Just a bead of high temp silicone.
