Good price on gear change?
Six States quoted me $1200 to do both front and rear, using Genine Spicer front, and a OEM replacement for the rear. That includes new barrings (sp)
Are these gears any good?
Is this a good deal?
Also I have a 2000 F150 4.6 manual, will I have to get my spuerchips redone? A local distributer of the chip said the reluctor gear (sp) shoud auto correct it self. I don't know, sounds like a load to me.

Gear change
Price is in ball park (slightly on high side). Depends on labor rate in your area. Yes you will need to either have the computer change or buy a super chip. Can also be done with a Hyper-tech program. Super better allaround. Dealer can only reprogram if you are going to whats avaliable as an option. Ie 3.55 05 3.77's. Good luck
I think you are getting a great price!
4 wheel parts ~ $1415, with $100 off deal, so $1515
Houston Drivetrain ~ $1100-1150
B&C Offroad - $1350
Pyle Brothers - $1600
The only place lower than your price is Houston Drivetrain in the entire houston area (thats a big area) and Houston Drivetrain, well, i've never even heard of em. All these other places are pretty big in this area for either Houston Raceway Park or cause the beach is close and Trucks + Beach = Shops to lift trucks. Now, maybe the price is just low for my area, but I'm going with B&C offroad and after all the stuff that'll be needed and what not, I'll prolly be looking at $1400 for mine...just a thought...

They quoted me $700 for just the rear. Most likely the $275 was only labor. Gears plus install kit will set you back at least another $250. And then you have things like oil and bearings. Which will prolly run you up to at least another $50-100, then tax and what not...
