Question ABS RIng & Carrier Question

I have a 96 F-150 and am looking for a ltd slip carrier like a Eaton, Auburn or Ford Trac-Lok. My question is do I need to look for a carrier that will accept the ABS ring, or can I get anyone designed for a 8.8?

Thanks!

Eaton-Posi, Auburn,(Pro & Performance series) and OEM Trac-lock are all ABS, tone ring compatible. If You choose any other brand, be sure to ask if that unit is ABS compatible.

on a 96 it's a little more important than ABS....the rear axle sensor becomes the only VSS input to all modules in the truck. If you have an automatic, the PCM won't know when to shift. And you will have no speedo on auto and manual trans. models. By the way...I have a Ford limited slip case for an 8.8" with all new clutches and side gears....I overhauled it at work and then ended up geting a complete differential for the truck anyway, so I have this pristine loaded limited slip case lookin pretty on my garage shelf. Ain't Ford warranty grand?
