Question Speedo Question

OK i know my speedo is off about 16%. Now my question is where is this VSS gear and where can you get one and how hard is it to change? sorry for so many questions but i am anxious to get it fixed.

Depends on the model year of your truck...

If it's a '97 or '98, then you have a gear in the tailshaft of the tranny that can be replaced. I don't think you can make up 16% difference, but it'll get you closer than where you are at right now.

If you have a '99+, then a dealership (service dept) will have to reprogram your computer with the number of "revolutions per mile" for your tires.
