Question What should I pay to get rear gears installed?

I just bought a set of 3:73's for my truck, I wanted 4:10's but I spend too much time on the interstate for them. I am thinking of getting them installed at a Ford dealer, just so I have a recourse if they screw up. What should I pay to have this done, and can anyone suggest a reputable shop to install them in Houston?? I will have a Powertrax installed later as well, the traction is bad enough with factory 3:55's, I'll be buying a new right rear tire every 5k without it.,,,,,98

This is the best shop in Houston.

Labor should be between $300 and $400. They install in half a day and guarantee work.

Thumbs up

Cool!! Thanks max! Baytown is a little bit of a drive for me, but if it's only half a day or so. As long as the appointment thing works out, that sounds like a deal. Maybe I can save up for a posi unit (or Powertrax?) before then. I'm on the road til next spring. I would rather have it done locally, for sure!!,,,,98

You're Welcome !! They really do make appts and do 1/2 day installs. The quality service is worth the drive. Much better than some monkey trashing a substantial investment. Good luck on your install.
