i have a rear end that i don't know what year it came out of or the spline of the axles or the ratio and would like to install it in my 95 f-150 can someone tell me what these numbers mean or at least point me in the right direction.

Keith, Diff. is 8.8" ring gear dia., 3.55 L/S. Date of assembly appears to be 11/16/01 or 11/16/91.

I do not have the rest of the codes to break down axle spline count, diameter, or what vehicle it was designed to be used under. gearmanx17

 

i was told it came from a 92 f150 single cab so it would make sense id the mfg date was in 91. i still need to find out the spline so i can see if it will fit.

If it came out of a 1992, F-150; should be 31-spline!
