Question Good price on a LS for a 9.75

Anybody know what a good price for a factory limited slip unit is for a 9.75" rear end? I'm looking to get one and I was curious.

Thanks,
Bob

Randy's Ring and Pinion

When I called them. they quoted me around $300.00 for the LS and the fluid and I think the bearings too. I want LS too, but I wanted to wait for the Powertrax. I can't wait forever though. I might as well just get the Ford one.

Thumbs up Thanks for the info

I haven't gotten stuck yet, but I'd hate to be embarrassed when I do take it seriously off road. By the way 5.4 TritonORP, where in Mentor do you live and what's your truck look like? I'm sure I've seen you around.

I just ordered a Ford LSD from Randy's Ring and Pinion today for $200. It's for a 9.75

$200 for the LS. Cool, maybe now I will just buy the Ford one, no sense in waiting for powertrax, they will probrably never make it.

Rtroha, I live on Lakeshore, but my parents live on 615 between Edgewood and Mentorwood. I always pass your house when I'm going to my friends house. My truck looks just like yours, but not lifted.

Yeah, it was actually $220. They had an Eaton for an addition $170 or so, but since I don't really take my truck off road I figured the Ford Positraction would do fine. The most off roading I do is forest service roads, so nothing tough on the rear end.
