I recently noticed a whining noise in the left front end. It does it no matter what speed, turning, or braking. The whining sound speeds up and slows down with the speed of the truck. Its not too loud but is annoying. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Does the noise disappear when you turn the wheel to the right a bit while driving?

 

I had a whining/grinding noise only when turning left that matches your description exactly and coming from the left front. I jacked up the front end and could not find any play or noise when spinning the wheel. I took it to the dealer and it was the front left hub/bearing assembly that needed replacement. It was covered under warranty but if not it would have cost ~$330. I hope that helps.
