Solid front axle conversion question

I love my truck. The only thing I don't like is the IFS. it's smooth but lacks traction and articulation off road. I have heard of people cutting the IFS out and replacing it with Dana 44s or 60s. has anybody done this? I was just wandering what kind of money was I looking at. I hope some of you have some details about it.

solid axle conversions are expensive! try www.truckworld.com , theres a bunch of guys there in the forums that have done these conversions on all sorts of trucks. try asking them, good luck!
