Dumb Move = Vibration???
I was up on the hill behind my house 4-wheelin', so when I came out on the paved road I decided to clean my tires off, so I punched it to the floor. The truck hooked up and LAUNCHED!!! By the way... I was in 4 low!I never thought this truck could pull that hard! But anyway, I now have a vibration at exactly 45mph. Cannot determine the origin, it's just kind of a growl and vibe. It will only do it at 45 though. Any ideas? I'm thinking u-joint, stuck front hub, driveshaft twisted....just don't know where to start looking. The truck is a 1999 F150 4X4 ext-cab, 5.4l auto, 265-75-16 rubber. Where's the weak link?
Thanks,
Bill

Have you washed it since you gone 4-wheeling, might have mud caked on the inside of the wheels. The mud could of have made the wheels out of balance.

You could be precisely right! I had the same thing happen to me this past winter... I would get up to around 40MPH and something would start shaking in the front end. Turned out to be an ice block that formed on the inside of the wheel. Scared the crap out of me though!

Nope, no mud. That was the first thing I checked. Then tire pressure, that was ok, too. Haven't had time to get underneath and check anything out there. Ant other ideas on what to look for would be appreciated.
