Question Anyone in Wpg. changing diff fluid?

After checking Fords price on 75W140 synthetic diff fluid ($ 27 a liter!) I could get a pail (17 liters) of Texaco's 80W140 synthetic for about $130. That would be about $ 7.65 a liter. I have no use for a whole pail of this stuff so...

BTW - no one around here has anything else similar!

2Wise.You could go to the Amsoil site and either order it online or they will find a dealer for you. They make a couple of different 75w-140 gear oils that you can buy by the quart and the oil already contains a limited slip additive, so there's no need to add that. After shipping and tax it is less than half the cost of Ford's oil.

2wise,

I just did mine a few months ago, too bad, that is exactly what I was thinking, is buying the pail!

But, I bought some Amsoil off of a local dealer here in town, for a little cheaper than Ford. Came to around $65.00. I have my original receipt somewhere, I can give you the guys phone number. It took a couple of days of research to find an Amsoil dealer in the city, especially one who had some of this "hard to find" 75W140 Synthetic.

Email me at jleinweber@hotmail.com, and I'll try to find that receipt.

Talk to you later,
Jeff
