Cool

Wow, this is scary! I too have a 97 F-150 Lariat (fleetside) with the 4.6, automatic, K&N Filter, Flowmaster Dual Exh.,the JVC KD-LX1 "el Kameloen", and that same damn clunk!!! Have you found the solution yet? I have read some of the threads on the Driveshaft slip yoke so i'll look there first. Good luck gettin yours fixed!

I have just noticed a clunk too, but it seems to occur on decel.

Haven't heard of the slip yoke problem, but I have noticed the springs are coming "unwrapped".
My understanding is they put a clip on them to keep them aligned, though I'm not sure. I also noticed the isolator between the leafs had come out.

Cobra-You're in Dallas too? I've been trying to hook up with the Fordified truck club. Check the "Events and Happenings" thread.

Welcome!

Derek

I had the same clunk. I had the spring clips put on and that wasn't it so they replaced the slip yoke and that was the problem
