How often do you take your trucks in for maintenance? I thought it was every 5000 miles, but the dealer said 3000. The reason I'm asking is that I'm at 6000, and my appointment's on the 29th of March, but I'm going on a 500 mile drive this weekend...How bad can that be?

 

I NEVER take my trucks in for maintenance. That way, bad things don't happen to them when others get their hands in the innerds. But to try to answer your question, if you are saying the oil was changed at 3000 miles, and you are at 6000 now, and you want to go 500 more miles before changing oil, go right ahead, no problem.
