gear swap

Thinking of going to 3.73 gears in my 97 F-150. Stock tire size, and I'm aware I will have to re-cal the speedo. Looking for more low-end torque. Any info on a gear swap like this would be appreciated. Is this a feasible means of aquiring better low-end? What if any disadvantages would this cause?

Question

What ratio do you have now? If you have 3.55, and diff. is giving you no problems, I believe it would be a waste of $$$, unless you are going from 3.55 to 4.10 or 3.08 to 3.73.

I thought the 5.4L only came with the 9.75 rear?

If that is the case then you are limited to a 4.10 or a 4.56 swap I think...
