axle code, please help

I have a 98' F-150 and I'm not sure if the axle is open or limited slip, the axle code on my door is 19, does anybody know what this code means?

I9 = Open 3:55
(Non limited slip), or as I call it UNlimited slip because it just spins and spins in the gravel and snow.

QUestion for Flatlander

Hello I was just reading one of your replies to "lar" about axle codes, on my truck its an "18". I was wondering if you could decipher it for me and also tell me where you get the codes from?

I believe that 18 = 3.08 regular (not a limited slip).
I found the info a long time ago on the internet or here somewhere?
