4WD not engaging HELP!
Hi All,
I have a 4WD 1997 F150 with a 4.6. Just recently it will not go into 4WD and does not light the 4WD indicator light on the dash, I have read some forums and followed many troubleshooting recommendations but am against the wall.
I have replaced the transfer case motor and both vacuum solenoids on the firewall. I have good vacuum to the coils but don't have vacuum to the actuator. I also show power to both 2WD and 4WD solenoids at the same time on the control side of each solenoid - Weird! I haven't checked the selector switch yet, both 30a and 10a fuses check good. The actuator seems to move freely by hand. Any direction would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
