4x4 problem

New to forum so hi everyone. I have a 2001 f150 flareside 4.6. 4x4 always worked but when checking to get ready for winter..fail.
When I select 4x4, lo or hi, no light comes on. Just a clicking in dash. Replaced TC motor and same thing. Motor is not engaging. Checked front diff and vacuum solenoids and they are fine...they aren't working but they test fine. I'm under the impression that nothing works until motor moves. All fuses are fine but can't find anything about relays for system. Anyone??

Great video but didn't help a whole lot. Mine isn't intermittent, it doesn't work at all but my relay he spoke of does. Just nothing else is working. I'm going to check power to transfer case again...frustrating

Fixed finally!! Turned out to be a bad TC motor.. One I purchased was no good. Exchanged and perfect. Thank you for all your help.

Good deal then!

With how things are mass produced, it happens.

Took me 3x alternators for my truck several years ago!
