Question rear gear selection

I want to change my rear gears, 3.55 gears are nice highway gears but not enough bottom end. Right now with the 3.55 gears, at 70 mph im at 2000 rpm. Im thinking of either 3.73 or 4.10 gears, can anybody tell me what my rpm would be at 70 mph with either of these gears?. I would like to keep my rpm at about 2500 on the highway in overdrive if possible. Any information is welcome.

Thanks.

Larry.

This is a useful calculator for this sort of thing.

I have 4.10's and really like them. The cost was a bit high but the truck drives way better.

If you go from 3.55 to 4.10, your revs will increase by ~15% (2300rpm) and 4.56 will increase by ~30% (2600 rpm). I would have gone for 4.30's if I could but had to settle for 4.10. I think 4.56 would be too short for running solo.

Be careful, though, because speedo correction can be a PITA. Do a search for Speedo Correction on this forum...I have documented my experience a few times.
