Front differential install
#2
pretty straight forward process....
remove:
front drive shaft, unplug vacuum lines on front of diff, unbolt axles flanges, then 3 or 4 mounting bolts.....then pry your axles OFF of diff flanges (they have an I.D. locating hub) then pry diff out (or it might just drop!
install:....you need a friend or remove 1 axle shaft completely!!!! very difficult to get both axles out of the way to reinstall ....not much to it.

FYI the 98-2003 f150 4x4 CAN be driven without the front diff after you remove the AXLES....BUTTTTTTT..... you must reinstall the outer axle stub and TORQUE the axle nut otherwise the hub bearing will separate as it is NOT press fit type bearing. NO AXLE STUB IN THE BEARING YOU WILL DIE! driving like that
