Question about 5.4 block

I want to replace the engine in my 2002 F150, it is already bored .030 over. Is there a more recent year 5.4 that is a better block than the one in my truck?
Thanks

Nope. In 2004 they went to the VCT 3V 5.4 which isn't as reliable as yours. The 99 thru 2003 are the PI engines that you need.

Unless you get one out of a van, they never went to the 3V.

the blocks are the same for the most part... so '97-'08ish is a decent year range selection
