Hi my name is Paul. I've been having an intermittent issue with my 2013 F-150 Lariat 5.0. Sometimes it will act as though it's straining accompanied by a roaring and check engine light. I had it diagnosed and had all of the vct solenoids replaced. It ran great for a few days and then it started doing it again. I went to the Ford dealership where I purchased it, the service manager cleared all of the codes and again it ran great for a few days and then it started doing it again. It seems to run great until I turn it off and let it sit for a while, when I restart it is when it seems to act up. I've been thinking maybe a bad coil pack. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
